Sabah Eases Restrictions For The Fully Vaccinated

Masidi Manjun, Sabah local government and housing minister announced that fully vaccinated people are now allowed to take part in recreational activities such as using swimming pools, snorkelling, kayaking, jet skiing, sea walking and scuba diving.under updated state Covid-19 SOP.  


This restriction easing on the movement of people, however, is on condition that all individuals engaging in such activities must observe physical distancing of at least two to three metres from another person.


Additionally, fully vaccinated people from the same household who have completed two doses of the vaccine are now allowed to go out in the same car according to their vehicle capacity. For those from households that have yet to complete both doses, only two people are allowed to go out to buy food supplies, medicine and other daily essentials.


The state is presently under Phase 2 of the national recovery plan and has taken strict measures to curb the spread of Covid-19. Only fully vaccinated staff and customers with a low-risk status on their MySejahtera are allowed to enter eateries whereby only customers and workers who have been fully vaccinated are allowed to enter supermarkets and hypermarkets.
